DPSI, a member of the Society of Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (SMRP), attended the first 2019 Carolinas Chapter event in early March. SMRP is a nonprofit professional society aimed at developing and promoting excellence in maintenance, reliability and physical asset management.
Local SMRP members met in eastern North Carolina for the event, which consisted of presentations and plant tour at a large manufacturing facility. Presentation topics by the facilities’ maintenance and reliability staff included Maintenance 4.0 and Reliability Excellence From the Group Up. IoT and Industry 4.0 (maintenance 4.0), as well as improved machine analytics, are becoming more commonplace in larger manufacturing facilities.
DPSI, a provider of CMMS software and services, values the opportunity to be involved in SMRP at both the local and national level. Networking with maintenance and reliability professionals and listening to their challenges and solutions is extremely beneficial for our team. Industry feedback helps us continually brainstorm ways to improve our products and services, which ultimately helps maintenance teams enhance their operations.
The DPSI team plans to attend the SMRP Carolinas Chapter Annual Meeting later this year in Charleston, SC. Additionally, we will be exhibiting at the 2019 SMRP Annual Conference on October 7-10 in Louisville, KY—make sure to visit us at Booth #1006!
